This is my first Damned shows via ustream and the sound and video was great! There looked to be a big crowd...possible sell out? The band sounded great and
tight, at one point during the set Captain turned his camera around to the crowd to say hi, very cool! The set list was as follows;

Great show - very very tight and very well received. Neat Neat Neat was a right old corker as was JBJG and SIU. Monty put his heart and soul into the drumming on DA. The Bellrays were great too. |

The gig was a blast! It was nice to get the full set played, as opposed to the Poughkeepsie show where it got shortened.
Yeah, bloodfeast, the place was packed. I was right up at the front, and especially during songs like New Rose and Smash It Up, when the crowd really surged, I was getting pounded from the back and pushed around ... it kinda actually felt like being on a rollercoaster...it's hard to describe... But ANYWAY, yeah it was great.

Fabulous show! Just a good ol fashioned punk show. Did anyone DVR the ustream? Please please please. I'll cover costs and extra for a copy.
I agree with carmine -I thought I was going to get hurt in the moshing or by a crowd surfer! It was the best. Brought back memories of my youth! Finally got to hear curtain call and melody lee live. And DA was brilliant Froggy, thank you for finding me and saying hello.always a pleasure meeting you.

Irving Plaza has a capacity of approximately 1,100. The show was packed last night and close to a sell out. Amazing set; DV was very much into it and danced
more than in the past. Captain was great!
Did anyone else manage to go to the after party at Beauty Bar? Chatted with Captain for a few minutes, shook Monty's hand and stuttered when I walked past DV. Successful night! |

I was at the Booty Bar after the gig. Was nice to talk to Pinch & DV & to finally talk to Stu! Didn't realize at the time but that was the first
time I've seen them w/ Stu... damn it HAS been a long time since they played NYC!
Cappy as guest DJ was spinning some good stuff - "In A Rut," "One Chord Wonders," "Into The Valley," "Ca Plane Por Moi" even a few psych numbers like "7 and 7 Is" and "Pushin' Too Hard"... Hey it made the hipsters leave, I think. |

-they unceremoniously kicked us out, when Cap and all that came out to the van. Cap recognized me from Saturday (we had a discussion about his DJing,) and was
all "are you going to come out and check out my DJing!" Yeah... twist my arm. Hang out in the same bar as the Damned. Did I win some fekking Karmic

I met the most fantastic couple from Canada in the front row with me. *waves to Mina*. It wasn't hard to convince them to tag along with me. (For that I am eternally grateful) And she is a fantastic dancer! I was pretty ballsy that night! I went up to DV more than once, sat on Stu's lap- for a pic- and got some great pics of Crazy Canadians with the Damned! Hopefully we can convince her to post them. Looking back on it, I'm impressed I had such moxy. Oh, my one claim to fame: DV kneeled and pointed at me during I Fall. I have two confirmed witnesses. (one on each side of me.) Hey, I take what I can
get!

It did get a little rough up front and twice came very close to breaking out into full-out fights, one of which was even before the show started, and made me a
bit anxious, to say the least, but it turned out to be a fantastic show, as has been said, and I could only expect that NJ could only be a let-down after such
a great one... It wasn't to be though, as I think they even managed to top that one in NJ! Wow!
