This really is the best Damned news for years...............I'm not expecting anything new at Guilfest, though it would be nice, but actually recording a
new album at last will have to mean another proper tour as well. With new stuff!!!!!
This has made my day, off to the Oval now for sunshine, beer & cricket...........lovely. |

Sounds great to me, though I'm trying not to get too excited as it still might be a long wait till we hear it. "Aim To Please" is a good idea, they should after all this time we've had to wait!

Perfect Sunday By the time this album comes out there is no doubt in my mind that very INSTANT the people on the rest of the planet are going to have to read on here a million and one different posts saying "I saw them do that song 135 times on the last UK tour, that song sucks, that song is boring, I'm sick of that song, does everyone here agree with me that song sucks or what, omygawd I heard that song infinity times." 3. Maid For Pleasure Again, Music For Pleasure? 4. Aim To Please I BET THEY DO! 5. Half Forgotten Memories 1/2 remembered memories then, maybe it'll be half a song like "It's A Real Time Thing." 6. Under The Wheels This is an Alice Cooper song, right?? |

I think all of those song titles are rather "tentative"...
Yes, Mark, according to Pinch, they have recorded!! E.g. he says in his blog: "It was great to finally get our teeth into it in a great studio environment and do it the justice it deserves. This one has everything a great Damned song needs." "We had never played this one together before at all, and decided it would be a blast to write out an arrangement , not rehearse it, and just go for it with the tape rolling. Take 1 was awesome, but a little chaotic and overblown, so we went right for take 2, and that is probably what you are going to hear on the album. " All in all this sounds very promising and I hope it'll see the light of day (or dark of night) as soon as possible!
