Special thanks to Claudiaq and Iain for being the most sincere folk I've met in a long time. Tress for driving me about to a couple of gigs and being great company - I haven't 'screamy laughed' in such a long time at some silly things being said and done. (polka dancing, bra sizes, facehuggers, squirrels, gaits as a kid) Miche and Andy for rescuing my Damned hoody that is like an 'old pal' to me from Vivaz and for telling me there were vodka slushes at the Scarborough venue (I only had 2 mind). Aunty Jed for being brilliant and making me feel better about myself, Cap and Mayumi for being utter gems, Stu and Greenfairy for making me laugh at Duggie's antics at the hotel bar. Magic Dave for being lovely and a great technician and Pinch for actually having a proper conversation with me and Tress even though we may have talked utter rubbish back at him Dudley - great venue, promotor took us inside during the day to have a gander and gave me and Claudiaq posters, then I dropped mine and ran like the clappers to retrieve it from the wind. High stage though and I couldn't see much over it. arf! So stood back for a change and enjoyed it from no crushes. Scarborough - a smaller, more intimate venue with great views from all round. Funny moments was when Cap blethered about the Scarborough Lido and the rest walking offstage while he did so , Monty baring his bottom while wrapped round a pole. Oh and I even got chewing spat on my face - punk rock! Holmfirth - another nice venue with balconies and carpeted which was odd. I'd like to think this was the gig I enjoyed most. Great banter, DV being a stagehand and sweeping it with a broom, the bollux signs during JBJG, Pinch running off while Magic Dave took over (not funny for Pinch but amusing to the crowd to hear why) and toilet roll being thrown onstage afterwards! Luckily the poster was rescued before it hit a huge puddle. My poster was the first thing I saw when I woke up this morning as we have it pinned to our bedroom door. I also enjoyed DV sweeping the stage. Magic Dave did an awesome job on New Rose (I think it was) and let the gig continue whilst Pinch had a small problem. Poor Pinch, hope he got some immodium for his flight home. Huge respect to Pinch for coming back on and continuing for the rest of the gig - we've all been there and could fully sympathise.

Although Mr Pinching did eat some of the curries that we ordered in Dudley and I too had visits to the vomitorium etc I hope it wasn't those! Not nice, but they will eat a lot of curries on tour! I myself would be mortified if something like this was made public I think I'd have been mortified too, but it was taken in good humour by Pinch and I seem to recall it was DV doing most of the teasing 'Pinch, if you can hear this, take your time' as Magic Dave stepped into the breach...

We were made aware of Pinch's dilemma to explain his short disappearance from the stage. I love the Damned and hold all of them in very high regard. I would never do anything to harm or embarrass any of them. I was merely trying to pay tribute to Pinch for his professionalism and good humour to carry on playing the gig with gastroenteritis. Not many people would have had the strength of character and the dedication to the fans to do this. I was actually very concerned about him getting a flight home next day and I only wished I had had something on me at the time to give him to make him well. Not only was his performance outstanding as always, he was very pleasant to us before and after the gig, went out of his way to speak to us and smile, and I have nothing but admiration and respect for Pinch and hope he is fully fit again and hope he knows how much we all love him.
