Potentially a good debate developing,

Dan had every right to post the clip he did, & in taken in context in the thread it was posted in it did fit in. However, I was alerted to Bart Hardfart's concerns that a "child abuse" video had been posted here by his posting of this thread. As I was away from a computer, & at work at the time, I could only view the "offending" clip on my phone. After reviewing the clip, on it's own, with no words, sound or otherwise to indicate whether the young boy in the clip got up afterwards & laughed it off, or was more seriously hurt I took the decision to remove the clip from the board. It was the type of "ownage" clip that is very common on the internet & if the people involved had all been adults or teenagers then I would not see a large problem with the same scenario. As it appeared to be 3 adults, & a small boy I removed the clip pending later review.

Once back home I viewed the said clip again on a computer & decided that without any other information, the clip alone in it's current form should not be re-instated. The young boy in the clip may well have deserved a good clip round the ear, but that is not apparent, & even if it was, I stand by my decision to remove the clip.

Other issues raised on this thread are Threediscsin's comment on the Christina Applegate thread, which may be seen by some to be in bad taste, I think is quite valid as she is an attractive woman & is no less attractive since she contracted cancer. Surely a more offensive comment would be suggest that he didn't find her attractive anymore?

Vampira Vanian's children singing New Rose. This video was posted here many months ago without so much as a whisper of complaint about it's content. Originally done for the Sailor Jerry rum promotion I think they did rather well, the true "meaning" of the gesture that has brought so many comments was totally lost on me, as I'd never even noticed it, even after viewing the video several times. Even now, after reviewing the video again, the "offending" gesture does not stand out nearly so much as would be expected by the comments it has drawn. As a quick trawl around youtube will find you many similar videos of children innocently performing "pop songs" with far more suggestive / profane lyrics & dancing I do not think that in it's intended context, that it is unsuitable for here.

I am certain many will disagree with my decisions, & maybe some will agree, but probably even more people won't give a damn!

I stand by my decisions on the above matters & by the decisions of all the moderators here on other matters.
